New Song.
Yesterday, when I was on the phone with Taylor, she encouraged me to sit down and write a song (I have the best girlfriend). I took her up on the challenge and began to write. Here is what I came up with:

God's Word.
Right now I am reading a short little book that i picked up at a christian bookstore Denver, NC. It is called "Healthy Christian Growth" and it is by Sinclair B. Ferguson.
The book is only 25 pages long and I am on page seven. But I have learned so much from the seven pages I have read.
Here are some of the truths in this book that have stood out to me:
"If we neglect the reading and exposition of scripture, we ought not to be surprised if we suffer from retarted growth."
"There is no substitute for the Bibles instruction and we have no excuse for ever failing to study it."
When we read God's word, we develop intimacy with him. When we are intimate with him we communicate more with him. The more we communicate with him, the more life makes sense.

Life
Life is hard.
At the end of the day, it is good, but i have learned that good is not synonymous with easy.
Life only remains good because of the people that I share it with.
I am so thankful for my parents.
I regret spending my later teenage years dreaming of moving and being out on my own. I wish I would have accepted how incredible my family is when i was forced to spend most of my time with them.
I am also so thankful for my wonderful girlfriend and her amazing family.
My girlfriend loves me unconditionally. Through her I have better understood how Christ loves me. Sometimes I wonder why she even wastes her time on me.
Her parents are equally as incredible. I am so thankful for the things that they have imparted to their daughter. I have learned from their reflection and in turn I have been changed.
"God, Forgive me for falling short.
God, thank you for the grace that you have extended to me. I can see it in the people that you have put in my life.
You have never left me, or forsaken me.

This week, I have totally focused on getting organized. On Friday night I created an awesome system that has helped me a ton. Now I feel like I am ahead of the game instead of struggling to get caught up. It is truly a great feeling.
Sunday I had my first jam session with the guys who are playing on my album. It went really well. We finished "Makin' Your Life Hell" and started "Wake Up Man". I am not stoked on "Wake Up Man" yet, but It is definitely on it's way. Jacob and I are getting together on Sunday at 2 two continue arranging some songs.
Making an album is hard, but I love it.
The last two years have been tough for me. I made a lot of stupid decisions and did a lot of stupid things. But at the same time, I can honestly say the last two years have been the best of my life, by far. I fell in the with the most beautiful girl in the world, moved to a new state, started my own business and got to watch it grow, and started recording an album, something I have wanted to do for as long as I've know what music was.
Life is good.
I don't know why, but I have been blessed.
